What a week!! I finally submitted a course to Udemy for approval. I learned how to take videos with my iphone and edit them with imovie. It was a personal achievement.
I also went to my neighbor’s house to play pool. Peter is very involved with his church. In fact, he invited me to an eight week training program which I attended, but decided his church wasn’t for me. After playing five games of pool, we began discussing Christianity.
At one point, I found myself quite animated. Afterwards I said, “That’s why I can’t attend your church. I’d start talking like this and I’d have to take over.” Then I realized I should start my own church.
This isn’t something new. Patients have brought me their ideas for 40 years. I have been given the Book of Mormon and The Song of God Bhagavad-Gita. I worked with Carolyn Jackson, author of The Spirit of Reiki, for years. I helped her teach classes and witnessed amazing things. I’ve experienced talking with spirit guides through a medium. I’ve participated in a sweat lodge.
After all of those experiences, I returned to The Bible. My mother was raised in the Baptist Church. She and my father were active in Presbyterian Church and I grew up with that faith. My mother converted to Unity. A lot of Unity mades sense and a friend recommended Unity minister, Jack Boland. I learned a lot from him. As a chiropractor, my father believed in Universal Intelligence, a creator. He also believed in Innate Intelligence, our own individualized portion of Universal Intelligence. As a chiropractor, that makes sense. I also learned a procedure to control my mind from Vernon Howard.
I was surprised to find that The Bible didn’t say what I thought it said. I saw some words that I had missed before. I had new understanding that nobody had talked about.
I was explaining some of that to Peter. I told him about a patient that wanted to talk to me about her new religion. I told her it didn’t make any sense. She asked if it had to make sense. I said, maybe not. But if it can why not let it? Then I gave her my ideas. She was my last patient that day and we probably talked for 15 minutes.
She came in a week later. She asked, “Do you remember our talk last time.” I nodded. She continued, “I went home and told David, I just had the most wonderful conversation with Dr. Bob. He said I can tell you’re just glowing.”
I can’t guarantee that you will be glowing. What I teach is to question The Bible and make sense. I teach to apply physics to biology and then think about what Jesus taught. Think about artificial intelligence and apply that to our experience. I don’t believe we should have to check our brains at the door when we go to church.
All that to say, I will be recording some podcasts to give my thoughts on spirituality. I will be using The Bible to refute some of the teachings that are popular, but I believe are nonsense. Most importantly, I will teach you how to live in peace now. My teachings are not how to get to heaven after you die. How to live in peace now.
The podcasts are only for paid subscribers. I have found that people who don’t pay something never change. This is for people who want to change their lives. The first one will be on why we were created. I’ll reveal what I learned during a meditation and later. That experience changed everything.
