The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PUBLIC LAW 111–148—MAR. 23, 2010 124 STAT. 119 , 2010), also known as PACA, ACA, or Obamacare, was passed in 2010. President Obama hoped to improve healthcare and make it more affordable.

If you want the price of something to go down, you know that you must increase supply or decrease demand. You learned about risk and how insurance premiums are based on risk. You learned that to a politician, a provider is an insurance company, not a doctor. With that in mind, let’s look at just a few parts of Obamacare.
